KSA Industrial Automation Company is a Dammam control systems engineering firm that programs, integrates and commissions PLC, HMI and SCADA systems for plants across Saudi Arabia. We work on Siemens, Rockwell, Schneider and ABB platforms. Our aim on every job is simple: a control system that starts cleanly and keeps your process running.
What you receive: a written proposal with the scope, platform, programme and price within one working day of your I/O list, P&IDs or functional description. Request a quotation

What does a control systems company need to get right?
Uptime. A line that stops for an hour because of a logic error or an untested change costs far more than the engineering that would have prevented it. So we start every scope with the question of how the plant will fail, not how it will run. Interlocks, fault handling, alarm priorities and restart behaviour are designed first, and screens and reports follow.
That order shows in our deliverables. You receive a functional design you can review, commented source code, a tested HMI, loop and I/O records, and backups you can restore. The main automation services page sets out how these fit together.
What do we deliver?
Our work covers the controller, the operator interface, the supervisory layer and the commissioning that joins them:
- PLC programming in IEC 61131-3 languages;
- HMI development to ISA-101 principles;
- SCADA integration with alarms, trends and reports;
- DCS integration with existing control rooms;
- RTU and telemetry for remote assets;
- remote monitoring and IIoT for unmanned sites;
- control system commissioning, including FAT and SAT; and
- loop checking and instrumentation.
A PLC system typically takes 2–6 weeks, an HMI 1–4 weeks, a SCADA system 4–12 weeks and a telemetry project 3–8 weeks. Approvals and shutdown dates usually set the programme more than programming effort does.
Which platforms do we work on?
We extend the platform you already run, so your spares, training and support stay consistent. For a new plant we compare options with you and your consultant.
- Siemens PLC programming for S7-1200 and S7-1500;
- Allen-Bradley PLC programming for ControlLogix and CompactLogix;
- Schneider Electric PLC programming for Modicon M340 and M580;
- ABB AC500 PLC and HMI programming for AC500; and
- our automation partners page, covering Rittal, Elcontrol, Eaton, Phoenix Contact, Danfoss, Omron and Legrand as well.
Is your controller obsolete or failing?
Old controllers rarely fail on a convenient day. We plan the replacement while the plant still runs normally:
- S7-300 to S7-1500 migration with a rehearsed cut-over;
- PLC retrofit and upgrade for other legacy families; and
- PLC troubleshooting and emergency support when a unit is already down.
Remote support starts the same day, and our engineers reach sites in the Eastern Province within one working day.
Which industries and applications do we automate?
By sector (see also the industries overview):
- oil and gas;
- water and wastewater;
- district cooling and utilities;
- cement;
- food and beverage;
- plastics and packaging; and
- manufacturing and machine builders.
By application (see the solutions overview), we deliver pump station automation, water treatment SCADA, tank farm monitoring, compressor and skid control, energy monitoring and production line automation.
Why do plants choose KSA Industrial Automation Company?
We have worked in Saudi Arabia since 1995. We are an approved contractor to Saudi Aramco, SABIC and the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu and have worked on projects for all three. Projects for Saudi Aramco in Riyadh, Marafiq in Jubail, the Royal Commission in Yanbu and SABIC in Dammam are part of our record. Our approved automation contractor (see the approvals overview) page explains what a vendor-listed project receives from us, and the projects page shows the kinds of work involved.
Our quality, environmental and safety management systems hold ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001. Our base is Al Shati District in Dammam, and we take projects in every region of Saudi Arabia. You can read more on the about page.
What do we check before we program?
A control program is only as good as the information behind it. Before any logic is written, we review the following with you:
- the I/O list, with signal types, ranges and fail-safe states for every point;
- the cause-and-effect chart or sequence of operation, line by line;
- the existing network layout, controller models and software versions;
- the alarm and trip list, so priorities are agreed before screens are drawn; and
- the shutdown windows you can give us for cut-over and site testing.
Gaps found at this stage cost a conversation. Gaps found during commissioning cost production time. For that reason our proposal lists the clarifications we need, and the functional design records your answers so everyone tests against the same document.
What happens after handover?
A system that cannot be supported is not finished. At handover you hold the source files, the commented program, the HMI and SCADA project, backups, test records and the loop folder. Your own team can maintain the system, and where you prefer a support arrangement we remain available for modifications, remote diagnostics and call-outs. Read our guides on PLC troubleshooting faults if you want to see how we approach diagnosis.
Where do we work?
Local pages cover industrial zones, plant types and site-visit planning: Dammam, Al Khobar, Jubail, the Eastern Province, Riyadh, Jeddah and Yanbu.
How does a project run?
- Send your documents. An I/O list, P&IDs or a functional description is enough to start.
- Receive the proposal. Scope, platform, deliverables and programme reach you within one working day.
- Approve the design. We issue the functional design and I/O allocation for your review.
- We program and test. Software is built and proven on a test bench in a factory acceptance test.
- Commission on site. Loop checks, site acceptance and restart are done to your test plan.
- Handover and support. You receive source files, backups and test records, and we stay available.
Where can you learn more?
Our engineers publish checklists and comparisons on the automation blog. Good starting points are the PLC migration checklist, the FAT and SAT comparison and the SCADA platform comparison.
