KSA Industrial Automation Company is a machine automation company in Saudi Arabia that programmes PLCs, HMIs and drives for OEMs, machine builders and factories. PLC programming typically takes 2–6 weeks per machine type and HMI 1–4 weeks. We write once, test thoroughly and give you a code library you can reuse on every machine you build.
What you receive: a written proposal for the machine or series, with platform, duration and price, returned within one working day of your specification and I/O list. Request a quotation

What programming language does a Siemens PLC use?
Siemens PLCs are programmed in the IEC 61131-3 languages: ladder, function block diagram, structured text and sequential function chart, using TIA Portal for S7-1200 and S7-1500. We use ladder for simple interlocks, structured text for calculations and sequences, and function blocks for repeatable machine modules. A clean structure matters more than the language, because the next engineer must be able to read it. See Siemens TIA Portal programming.
What is a standard program library and why should an OEM have one?
It is a set of tested blocks, one each for a motor, valve, conveyor, axis or alarm, with matching HMI faceplates. Each new machine is assembled from the blocks instead of written afresh. An OEM then builds the second and tenth machine faster, with fewer commissioning faults, and a fix to one block improves every machine. We write the library to your naming rules and hand over the source.
How do you work with a machine builder's panel and mechanical team?
We join the project at the electrical design stage, agree the I/O list, safety circuit boundary and network layout, and then programme while the panel is built. Wiring and fabrication stay with your panel shop, or with the workshop partner you choose. Because code and hardware reach the test bench together, the machine is functional-tested before it is shipped, and only fine tuning remains at the customer's site.
How does a machine automation project run?
- You send an I/O list, a functional description or a machine specification.
- We review it and issue the proposal.
- We write the functional design: modes, sequences, alarms and recipes.
- We programme and test on a bench, then in your workshop.
- Your customer witnesses the FAT against a written test sheet.
- We support the SAT on site and fine-tune the machine in production. Support is remote the same day and on site within one working day in the Eastern Province.
- You receive source code, backups and documentation.
Where we work
Machine builders and factory workshops are concentrated in the Dammam industrial cities, Jubail, Riyadh and Jeddah. Our base is Al Shati District, Dammam, and we have worked on projects for Saudi Aramco, SABIC and the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu. We are available for projects across Saudi Arabia. We hold ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certification. Local fabricators of conveying, packing and processing machines can add PLC capability without hiring a full team.
Machine automation questions
Who is a machine automation company in Saudi Arabia for OEMs?
KSA Industrial Automation Company provides machine automation for OEMs and machine builders from Dammam, covering PLC and HMI programming, drives, FAT and site support. It has operated since 1995 and is approved by Saudi Aramco, SABIC and the Royal Commission.
What affects the cost of OEM machine PLC programming?
The main factors are I/O count, the number of axes, the complexity of modes and recipes, whether a reusable library is required, the platform and how many identical machines will follow. A functional description allows a firm price.
How long does machine PLC programming take?
Duration depends on machine complexity and drawing release. PLC programming typically takes 2–6 weeks per machine type and HMI 1–4 weeks. Later copies of the same machine are faster, because the program is reused.
Can you migrate our machine from one PLC brand to another?
Yes. We convert the logic to your target platform, rebuild the HMI, map the I/O and test the result against the original machine behaviour on a bench before the machine ships to your customer.
Can you provide remote support for machines we have exported?
Yes. We set up secure remote access with logged sessions, role-based accounts and a gateway for machine data, so your service team can diagnose faults on exported machines without travelling.
What should we send for a quotation?
Send your I/O list, a functional description or machine specification, the preferred PLC brand and any existing code. Electrical drawings also help us align the I/O and the safety boundary.
