KSA Industrial Automation Company delivers Siemens PLC programming in Saudi Arabia for S7-1500, S7-1200, S7-300 and S7-400 controllers, with WinCC screens and Profinet networks. We are an authorised Siemens partner. Every program is written in TIA Portal, proved in simulation first, and handed over as a project archive that your own engineers can open, back up and extend.

What you receive: a written proposal with the controller family, TIA Portal version, deliverables and programme, issued within one working day of receiving your I/O list or functional description. Request a quotation

Engineer carrying out Siemens PLC programming on an S7-1500 controller in Saudi Arabia

Siemens PLC programming for S7-1500, S7-1200 and WinCC

Siemens is the installed base in many Saudi refineries, water works and factories, so most enquiries start from an existing S7 system, not a blank sheet. The table shows what we program and how long each part usually takes. As a Siemens system integrator we also cover the HMI, SCADA and network layers around the controller.

Item Platforms / range Standard Typical duration
Controller programming S7-1200 and S7-1500 in TIA Portal; S7-300 and S7-400 IEC 61131-3 2–6 weeks per system
HMI and operator panels WinCC Comfort and WinCC Unified ISA-101 principles 1–4 weeks
SCADA WinCC Professional and WinCC OA ISA-18.2 where relevant 4–12 weeks
Networks Profinet, Profibus and gateway configuration Siemens network guidelines Included in the programme
Migration S7-300 to S7-1500 Code conversion, I/O mapping and cut-over plan IEC 61131-3 3–8 weeks, cut-over in planned shutdowns
Software FAT Logic tested on PLCSIM or a test rack with a signed record Your ITP or ours Per project schedule

How is Siemens HMI commissioning done in TIA Portal?

Siemens HMI commissioning connects each screen object to the right controller tag, then proves it against the plant. In TIA Portal we create the HMI device next to the PLC, so tags link straight to optimised data blocks and a rename on the controller side is picked up by the screen.

On site we work through five checks:

  • every tag reads and writes the value the PLC holds;
  • alarm classes and priorities match the agreed philosophy;
  • user groups and passwords restrict set-points as specified;
  • recipes and trends store and recall correctly;
  • the runtime project is transferred to the panel and a backup is taken.

For plant-wide supervision the same method applies to WinCC SCADA integration, with the screens, archives and reports tested against your P&IDs.

What programming language does a Siemens PLC use?

Siemens controllers use the IEC 61131-3 languages: ladder (LAD), function block diagram (FBD), structured text (SCL) and sequential control (GRAPH). Most of our new code is structured, with one function block per motor, valve or loop and a short organisation block that calls them. That keeps the program readable and the testing repeatable.

S7 is the name of the controller family. S7-1200 suits small machines and skids, while S7-1500 is the main platform for larger plants, with faster processing, integrated diagnostics and security functions. TIA Portal is the single engineering environment for both, and it also holds WinCC and drive configuration. It is licensed software, so we work on your licence and confirm the version before the project starts.

How do we deliver a Siemens project from I/O list to handover?

  1. Enquiry. You send the I/O list, P&IDs or existing program, plus the Siemens hardware list.
  2. Site data. We confirm CPU families, firmware, TIA Portal version, network layout and drive types.
  3. Design. A short functional design sets the block structure, naming and interlock list.
  4. Programming. Reusable libraries are written once and instantiated for each equipment item.
  5. Software test. The program runs in PLCSIM with injected faults, and each result is recorded.
  6. Site commissioning. We download to the controller, verify every signal and tune loops and drives.
  7. Documentation and support. You receive the TIA archive, a retrieved backup and the test record, then remote support continues.

Sites that still run S7-300 hardware can follow our S7-300 to S7-1500 migration route, and supervisory layers sit under SCADA integration.

Where we deliver Siemens controller and SCADA work

Our engineers have worked on Saudi plants since 1995, and we are approved by Saudi Aramco, SABIC and the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu. We have worked on projects for Saudi Aramco in Riyadh and for SABIC in Dammam.

Siemens programs come to us from pump stations, water treatment, process skids, cement lines and packaging machinery. For brand-neutral questions on structure and deliverables, see our general PLC programming services. Emergency support is remote the same day and on site within one working day in the Eastern Province.

Siemens partner questions

Who provides Siemens PLC programming in Saudi Arabia?

KSA Industrial Automation Company provides Siemens PLC programming in Saudi Arabia from its engineering office in Al Shati, Dammam. We cover S7-1200, S7-1500, S7-300 and S7-400 controllers, WinCC screens and Profinet networks, and we travel to plants in every region.

Who is the Siemens supplier in Saudi Arabia?

KSA Industrial Automation Company provides the engineering side: programming, integration and commissioning on the Siemens hardware you buy. Hardware orders go through Siemens sales channels and electrical distributors. We prepare the I/O schedule and parts list so your purchasing team orders the right modules and licences once.

What affects the cost of Siemens HMI commissioning and programming?

Cost follows the I/O count, the CPU family, the number of drives and Profinet devices, the amount of sequence logic, the HMI and SCADA scope, and the testing your inspection plan requires. Send your I/O list and the proposal prices each factor separately, so you can see where the effort sits.

How long does Siemens HMI commissioning take?

Most Siemens HMI work takes one to four weeks, and controller programming usually takes two to six weeks per system. The I/O count, the number of screens and how quickly your team approves the functional design decide where a project falls inside those ranges.

Can you take over an existing TIA Portal or STEP 7 project?

Yes. We open the archive, compare the hardware configuration with the installed controller, document the block structure and then change it under version control. If only the CPU is available, we upload it, rebuild a working project and compare behaviour before any modification.

What should I send to get a quotation?

Send the I/O list and the current Siemens hardware list, with P&IDs or a functional description if you have them. If a program exists, add the TIA Portal or STEP 7 version and a backup. We reply with a priced proposal that sets out scope and programme.
